Fabricator

I. Position Summary

Responsible for producing metal parts to engineering specifications using a variety of CNC controlled machines, manually controlled machines, hand tools, and manual processes.

 

II. Latitude

The Fabricator reports to the Production Supervisor and uses engineering drawings and production orders to fill production needs and ensure compliance with engineering and quality specifications.

 

III. Essential Functions

The Coordinator will perform the following duties on a regular basis:

  • Operate a variety of machines and hand tools
  • Set up machines according to provided program requirements
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure parts are made to print specifications and within tolerances
  • Make appropriate adjustments to maintain tolerances
  • Preform appropriate inspections ensure quality production
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines
  • Clean, maintain, and properly store tooling
  • Maintain clean and safe work area
  • Follow written procedures, specifications and work instructions including (IPV) in process verification
  • Assist team members in other areas to meet daily production goals

VI. Working Conditions and Environment

The Fabricator works in a manufacturing environment and spends the day on the plant floor. This position requires the ability stand for long periods.  It requires the ability to stoop, bend, reach, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds and sufficient manual dexterity to operate control systems.

 

PECO works 10 hour shifts, 4 days per week.
